In 1987, Johnny Giannakis opened the doors on one of Winnipeg's first late-night restaurants. Named after the man himself, Johnny G's became the spot where the city came to eat after the show ended, after the game, after everything else closed.
The food never changed. The portions never shrank. And the people of Winnipeg never stopped coming back.
